The Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) is located in the historic center of the city. Alma mater to many historically significant artists and designers, the ECA is one of the UK’s oldest and most important art colleges, forming the core of the cultural development in the country.

Our aim for the ECA was to respectfully merge the old and the new, the historic with the technologically progressive, and to provide an architectural backdrop for an inspirational inquiry and exploration for designing spaces and objects that support the human capacity for learning and play to the fullest.
