A first for Mohawk, this flagship showroom was designed for real estate flexibility and efficiency to host seven significant and distinct carpet and flooring brands.
Acknowledging that “carpet is king,” all design inspiration was drawn from flooring materials, manufacturing process and accouterments. The design concept uses the metaphor of a carpet roll unfurling with the two cylindrical volumes designated as Reception and a shared meeting space connecting the two ends of the floor.
With spectacular four-sided views the showroom enjoys a strong Southern exposure. The curtain (made from carpet backing material) is both functional and metaphorical and acts as the connector weaving through all carpet brands.
