We envisioned a space for expanding the client’s curriculum offerings with a new program of Hospitality, Food and Beverages in close collaboration with Dumfries and Galloway College. Our design solution inserts a professional level kitchen and restaurant enabling knowledge building and career specialization while providing students opportunities for real life experiences in a fine dining facility.

Balancing the needs of accreditation approvals with existing facilities and design, our solution captures usable space in a transparent building insert. This new addition set between the existing green trapezoidal volumes of the library and the adjacent purple classroom pod, provides functional space while showcasing the new curricular components.
